California State Senator Leland Yee visited campus this week to talk to students, staff and faculty about issues affecting those with Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage. He started his speech by saying that while the Asian/Pacific Islander Community (API) has some unique issues, the communities really are affecting by the same issues that affect everyone else in the state - housing affordibility, employment, gas prices, quality of education, etc. etc.
Students were asked to bring snacks to share with the audience. They offered a hodge-podge of Asian treats that are readily sold in California.
Notice the "Espresso" candy in this one.
Devoted to photos of teriyaki donut shops, taco trucks, great food, unusual or interesting foods, and any other commercial enterprise or cultural phenomenon that is just darned interesting to see.

I bet most people don't know there is a distinct difference between Mexican and Salvadorian food.

This, of course, is an "Irish" Pub that serves nachos, tacos, cheeseburgers, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches, Bangers and Mash (which is English, not Irish), turkey sandwiches and of course "Irish Nachos" to make sure that you know it's an "Irish Pub."
